Dual Heat Tape Controller with Sensor (DS9-C)

Overview

The DS9-C is a dual-circuit snow and ice melting controller with a remote precipitation sensor. When rain or snow lands on the remote sensor at freezing temperatures, the controller turns the heat cable on. The sensor's small heater then evaporates the moisture so it is ready for the next cycle, and a Delay Off drying cycle keeps the cable on long enough to clear a melt path after the storm.

• Controls two fully isolated heat cable circuits, 30 A each at 277 VAC
• Supply voltage 100 to 277 VAC, 50/60 Hz
• Remote heated precipitation sensor on a 10 ft cable; extend up to 60 ft with the EX-50
• NEMA 3R enclosure with 3/4 in. conduit hub, rated for outdoor use
• Operating temperature -40°F to +185°F
• Sensor and controller modes with adjustable Delay Off drying time
• Optional CDP-2 remote display panel
• Power leads #14 AWG (blue/brown/green); load leads #10 AWG (yellow)
